Analysing the user flow of Glovo

Within the context of the precourse of the Ironhack bootcamp in UX/UI Design we had the task to draw our first wireframe and to analyse the user flow of an app. I chose the app Glovo because it has become well known everywhere and it is a good an example of a food delivery app that offers a lot of material to discuss.

Let`s get started

It was the first that I downloaded and used the app. The best thing is if I show a screenshot of the wireframe I created.

Let’s check out the first steps I had to do in order to get started. When you download the app you have to sign up first for the app (screen1 & screen 2). It is possible to sign up via apple, facebook or with your email. I chose the option to sign up with my e-mail. Also the process with signing up was clear and can be done without problems. Then you have to confirm the TX&TC and Privacy (screen 3). In the fourth step you can start to set a delivery address (screen 4). I noticed that it was not possible to chose my city, so I took Barcelona. On this screen I really liked the first drawing, it showed a friendly design.

But this is not enough, in the following flow I would be surprised with more drawings. On the next screen (screen 5) I could see again to choose my delivery address. In this part I started to get a little bit impatient, I thought when can I start to order my food? In the next part I have to confirm again that Glovo can access to my location. But yeah, I have to go through this progress. We are already on the screen number 6where I need to confirm my address.

The next screen (screen 7) turned out to be my favourite one and I forgot already my impatience. The nice circle elements with the friendly drawings really invited to discover everything of the screen. At the left of the top you can find your user account and at the top of the right there is a little gift button. When you press it you can refer to a friend.

But back to the main screen because I would like to order my food. I really enjoy the little drawings. You can chose between supermarket, food, premium restaurants, drinks, delivery express, pharmacy, shops and gifts. In the center there is bigger button located with a nice magic wand. But I click on the food button (screen 8. I could chose between McDonalds, Glovofertas and Restaurants. I chose further the restaurants where huge is huge variety is waiting for me.

To sum it up: the user flow was simple and clear. It just takes in the beginning quite a long time to get where you really need to go. The app offer a lot of possibilities but the huge offer also may you bring away from the destination. But when you come back you still can discover a lot and it never gets boring.
